Thanks to the NRA for all their help expanding our shooting program at Camp Chawanakee

Sequoia Council and Camp Chawanakee would like to take a moment to thank the National Rifle Association. Through several generous grants we have expanded and improved our Rifle Range at Camp Chawanakee. We have doubled the number of scouts who can now learn proper Rifle Safety as well as purchased many target stands that allow us to reduce environmental impact up at Camp. We have also constructed a brand new Shotgun range, named “The NRA Shotgun Range” that has allowed us to improve shooter safety and make it easier for scouts to learn to propper shotgun handling skills.
