Districts

The Sequoia Council is a service area within the Boy Scouts of America that covers Fresno, Madera, Kings and Tulare Counties.  The Council is further divided into Districts, which are service areas run by a committee of volunteers and counseled by a paid District Executive.  District volunteers service the units by providing advice to existing units, training existing unit volunteers, and maintaining membership growth, promoting camping, raising money for even better service, providing programs such as camporees, district volunteer recognition dinners, Cub Scout day camps, Together We Plan conferences all while promoting the good name of Scouting within the community.

District Staff

San Joaquin District

Serving the communities of: Fresno, Clovis, Auberry, Tollhouse, Shaver Lake, Friant, Calwa, Big Creek,Sanger, Easton and Pinedale.

Thunderbird District

Serving the communities of: Madera, Coarsegold, Oakhurst, Kerman, North Fork, Bass Lake, Firebaugh, Tranquillity, Mendota, San Joaquin, Biola and Chowchilla.

Riverbend District

Serving the communities of: Fowler, Selma, Kingsburg, Cutler, Orosi, Orange Cove, Dunlap, Squaw Valley, Malaga, Parlier, Reedley, Del Rey, Woodlake, Hume, Badger and Dinuba, Lemoore, Coalinga, Hanford, Avenal, Huron, Corcoran, Caruthers, Armona, Riverdale, Laton, Helm, Stratford, Raisin City, Five Points and Kettleman City.

Live Oak District

Serving the communities of: Visalia, Farmersville, Ivanhoe,  Exeter, Lemon Cove, Three Rivers, Porterville, Springville, Lindsay, Strathmore, Terra Bella, Ducor, Earlimart, Alpaugh, California Hot Springs, Johnsondale, Ponderosa, Camp Nelson, Plainview, Tulare, Pixley, Tipton and Allenworth.

Scoutreach District

Serving the youth of Fresno, Madera, Kings and Tulare Counties.

Learning for Life

Serving the youth of Fresno, Madera, Kings and Tulare Counties.

Explorer Posts have been reassigned into their respective district, for service call the respective district executive.
